I always loved seeing how dedicated you guys are to saving vintage macs from e-waste and giving them a new purpose. ![]() I can’t really explain why I felt like posting for the first time. Using it to listen to my shared iTunes library is awesome. Honestly, the iMac G3 is my favorite to play with as it is dead silent - thanks to the fanless design and ssd replacement. I also added a cheap Bluetooth USB dongle to the iMac G4 so I could connect the A1016 Apple Wireless Keyboard and the A1197 Wireless Mighty Mouse. And most importantly, I replaced the thermal paste/pads on the TiBook and the iMac G4. When introduced, it was the most powerful computer in Apples Macintosh lineup, and was marketed by the company as the worlds first 64-bit desktop computer. from 2003 to 2006 as part of the Power Mac series. All of the ticking time bombs aka the CMOS batteries have been replaced. The Power Mac G5 is a series of personal computers designed, manufactured, and sold by Apple Computer, Inc. These are my vintage macs: A 2000 indigo iMac G3 (although I swapped the logic board with an 2001 snow to get that crazy 16MB of VRAM), my 1 GHZ TiBook and my 1,25 GHZ 17 inch iMac G4.Īll of them have been upgraded to max.
